This book is one of the best ever written. It is certainly the best or at the very least the equal best business book ever written. Zero to One takes the reader through an engaging discussion on tech businesses, their startups, their history and the thinking behind them. The book explicitly calls on the reader to think, reflect and be critical of lazily following the herd or engaging in transparently risk-averse behavior when risk is unavoidable in actuality. 

This book is a fascinating narrative through Horowitz's time through Netscape and Loud-cloud. Horowitz's account is honest and unvarnished and is more potent because of it. As well as the engaging story and narratives, Horowitz also provides solutions to difficult problems and issues. However, as foreshadowed in the title, hard problems often have hard solutions and that is the Hard Thing about Hard Things.

Do not try to set-up a tech company without reading this book and Zero to One.
